Showcasing three days of top-class racing, including the world’s greatest steeplechase, the Randox Grand National Festival at Aintree this year certainly didn’t disappoint.
This is an event of grand proportions, and is the horse racing that the world stops to watch. Originating in 1839, the historic and prestigious Grand National truly is a national treasure.
That’s why, here at Spaceworks, we take an immense amount of pride and pleasure in being able to partner with an event as high-profile as this. Supplying 16 artic trailers of furniture, we made sure that the sponsor chalets, VIP lounges and other hospitality areas looked spectacular for the race-goers.

Of course, sports hospitality plays a huge part in high profile events such as the Grand National. Yes, events such as these are all about the action and the atmosphere, but also about the event experience as a whole. Visitors to Aintree are able to enjoy the action whilst enjoying world-class hospitality at the same time and, therefore, enjoying an experience that lives long in the memory.
An event of this size brings its own logistical challenges with it, and it is through close collaboration and effective communication with our client that our supply and set-up service was achieved.
In terms of headline figures, the team supplied over 4,500 chairs and stools, and almost 1,500 tables, including dining and bistro tables, coffee tables and poseur tables. In addition, we supplied large volumes of patio furniture for outdoor hospitality terraces, luxury lounge furniture, picnic benches, fridges, garment rails and many other event accessories, to complete the equipment hire selection. One of our dedicated account managers was also on-site every day during the build phase to ensure a seamless operation for the client.
