Which chairs should I use for my dining event?

Today's article from Spaceworks looks at a selecetion of chairs that are available to hire for different events.

It’s fair to say that pretty much every large scale event which involves hospitality will need temporary chair hire. Hospitality usually means dining, whether it is formal, sit-down dining or informal, stand-up dining such as canape receptions, for example. Chairs and stools are staple items of these types of hospitality events, usually required in large quantities, matching and in top quality as, ultimately, the quality of the furniture will go some way to reflecting your event and your client.

So, with this in mind, this article looks at which chairs should you use for your dining event. The reality is that this very much depends upon the type of dining event you are planning for your big event, so let’s look at some options below.

Rio chairs

These modern banqueting chairs are hugely popular for corporate lounges and dining zones at your event, primarily because these are both comfortable and professionally styled. Rio chairs have a polished chrome frame and are stackable, making them easy to both transport and then position around your event venue. Better still, though, there is a range of chair cover options available including black, green, orange and purple fabrics, for instance, as well as white and grey faux leather – the choice is yours!

Chiavari chairs

This is the classic banqueting chair and, whilst you will mainly find these used at weddings, there is still a call for them at major sports events in the hospitality chalets. Available in different colours, you can choose your seat pad colour with your Chiavari chair, helping you to style your furniture to complement the event or brand colours you are representing.

Tolix chairs

With increased popularity in base metal furniture for events, it’s no surprise that Tolix chairs – both with and without arms – are proving to be a popular choice, especially for those areas at events with more of an industrial look and feel – again, your event styling will primarily dictate your decision as to which chairs to hire.

Cross back chairs

And finally, our cross back chairs are hugely popular for hospitality areas, especially the dark oak cross back chairs combined with Montreal oak dining tables. This combo really does look great in temporary restaurant set-ups, for example.

So, in answer to the above question, the choice of dining chair you select will primarily be driven by your type of event, and the areas you want to furnish. Do you want all the catering chalets to look the same throughout your site? Or maybe rows of chalets to look the same? Or possibly every area to look different? The choice really is yours.
